Medieval fortresses along river Cetina
With the river Cetina (102 km) from its source to its mouth at the foot of mount Dinara in Omis survived eleven great medieval fortresses and a large number of smaller fortifications and fortified positions.
It is a simple observation-towers, a seat of various local magnates (the castle), fortified towns, centers of various estates, fortresses from which smaller military garrison control paths, and various shelters.
Most of them occurred in a time of 13th to 15th century, with some built on previously established positions at which life begins during pre-history or antiquity.
